The Paton-Churdan School District has a couple Veterans Day related activities coming up.

The public is invited to a free showing of the documentary, “A Bad Deal: My Vietnam War Story” by Jim Hamlyn. It is a story from Hamlyn’s time served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. The documentary includes actual war footage shot on Hamlyn’s 8mm camera. Mature material will be shown in the documentary. It is suggested for audiences in high school and above. Plus, Hamlyn will participate via Skype to discuss his documentary, following the showing. The event will take place tomorrow at 9am in the school’s auditorium.

Then on Monday will be the annual Veteran’s Day Program held at the auditorium at 9am. There will be a short program to honor all area veterans and their families. Guests are then invited to enjoy coffee and rolls after the event.

Both programs are free and open to the public.
