Very few teams in Class 1A were better running the football than AC/GC.

The Chargers finished the regular season third in the state in rushing yards. AC/GC’s 2,979 yards was only bested by Sigourney-Keota and state qualifier Treynor. Gavin Cornelison led the way for the AC/GC offense with a record setting 1,103 yards and 19 touchdowns. Senior Kolby Jacobe wasn’t far behind finishing his high school football career with 842 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

AC/GC was the first team left out of the playoffs, finishing their season with a 6-3 record.
