Winter weather will hit the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area tonight through tomorrow.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory has been issued for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties from 6pm Sunday night through noon on Monday. All three counties are expected to get between one and three inches of snow. Additionally, there will be periods of blowing snow with upwards of 30-miles-per-hour projected, causing low visibility when traveling on the roadways. Drifting snow will also cause patches of slick, icy roads.

Road plows maybe on the roads during tomorrow morning’s commute. Watch for plow crews and remember to not crowd the plow. Motorists are reminded to drive to the weather conditions of the roads. The one to count on for winter weather coverage is the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
