There are several closures today for Veterans Day, as well as community programs happening in Guthrie County.

Guthrie Center City Hall, Stuart City Hall, and the Guthrie County Courthouse are closed today. The Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library, Guthrie County Health Services, and the Transfer Station are also closed. Additionally, all post offices are closed, as well as most banks. The Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center Elementaries are each hosting a free breakfast for veterans and spouses at 8 a.m., and 7:45 a.m. respectively, followed by “salute” programs. The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School Student Council is also hosting a public Veterans Day event at 10 a.m. in the high school gym.

The Panorama High School Student Council is hosting a program open to veterans, their families, and the community at 8:20 a.m. in the auditorium. State House District 20 Representative and Freedom Rock painter Ray Sorensen will be the guest speaker.

The West Central Valley School District is hosting three events, the first one at 9 a.m. at the high school in Stuart, the second at 1:30 p.m. for the elementary students at the high school, and the third at 2:30 p.m. at the middle school in Redfield.
