Greene County High School ended the 2019 football season in Algona last Friday night with a 48-15 loss to the 11-0 and number three Bulldogs. The Rams finished with a 9-2 record, and the two teams that beat Greene County, Algona and OABCIG (Ida Grove) face each other in the Class 2A semifinals this Saturday at 4 p.m. inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

The Rams averaged 37.7 points per game. Quarterback Brent Riley threw for 2,333 yards, 31 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He was 163 of 278 for a 58.6 completion rate.

Carter Morton was the top receiver with 1,008 yards on 52 catches in 10 games for a 19.4 yards per catch rate and 12 touchdowns. He also had three touchdowns rushing, three returning punts and two on kickoff returns.

Will Hansen had 31 receptions for 495 yards (16.0 per catch) and seven TDs. Nick Breon caught 38 passes for 405 yards (10.7 ave.) and six touchdowns. Jaxon Warnke had 19 catches for 226 yards (11.9 per catch) and four TDs. Bryce Stalder and Tyler Teeples each had a touchdown reception.
