The Jefferson Rotary Dinner and Auction was held on Friday night in the Greene Room events center of Wild Rose Casino and Resort.

Greene County High School Interact volunteered for the event and talked about what they used Rotary funds on.

The preliminary final amount that was raised was $28,780. The amount includes the live and silent auction, along with some other games that attendees enjoyed throughout the night. The highest single live auction item was a one week vacation package that included a stay at a condo in Maui, which went for $1,800. At the end of the event was a single benefit fundraiser for the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC), which brought in over $8,000. Auction Chair Carol Durbin describes her reaction to the event.

“We’re very happy with the turnout. We did change the date because of the Greene County Rams making the state playoffs, so we had to change, and people’s schedules it didn’t work out. But we’re very excited and very happy with our turnout, what the end of the evening was.”

All proceeds from the event will be given to local projects, organizations, as well as International Rotary and Rotary District 6000.
