After coming up short in the season opener last year versus North Polk, the Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball team looked like the more mature, more talented team on Monday in Alleman.

The game in Grimes last November favored North Polk 56-52, but the game this November favored DC-G by a large margin.  The Fillies took the road win, 60-39.  A 21-point margin of victory for the Fillies is a substantial swing from the 4-point defeat last year.

On Tuesday, DC-G played their first home game of the season against Winterset and doubled up the Huskies by the score of 71-35.

DC-G is coming off of a 16-7 season a year ago, that featured a loss at home against North Polk.  Two dominant wins to open the season should give plenty of confidence to Head Coach, Adam Jones, and his team heading into more regular season play next week.

DC-G is back in action on Tuesday, December 3 at home in Grimes in the first Girl/Boy Doubleheader of the season.  The Girls’ will tip-off at 6:15pm, while the Boys’ will take the floor at 7:45pm.
