The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory related to ice for the entirety of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area through Friday.

Light snow and freezing drizzle are expected to start at around 9 p.m. tonight and continue through tomorrow. The advisory will be in effect until noon Friday. Around a 10th-of-an-inch of ice is expected to cover most roads, resulting in adverse travel conditions for the western half of the state, including Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties. Looking ahead, the National Weather Service expects the rain to change to snow Saturday night into Sunday, as well as breezy winds.
