The Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area continues to see a variety of weather conditions this weekend, as a wind advisory remains in effect until noon for Guthrie County.

The National Weather Service states that northwest winds of 25-35 miles per hour with gusts as high as 45 miles per hour are expected. Due to overnight precipitation most state highways in Dallas and Guthrie counties are reported to be partially covered with slush. This follows a brief pattern of severe weather that moved across Dallas and Guthrie counties yesterday. A tornado warning was issued around 4:30 p.m. for both counties, and a storm report from the National Weather Service states there were two spotter reports of a “spin-up rope tornado” that occurred about four miles northeast of Guthrie Center at 4:33 p.m. Damage has not been reported from this storm. There is also a chance for snow today, listen to Raccoon Valley Radio for weather updates.
