This past week, Adam Jones and his Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball team started the season with two dominant wins over North Polk and Winterset.

DC-G put up 70 and 71 points on the board in each contest, while allowing allowing 49 to North Polk, and just 37 to Winterset.

The Fillies were able to feast on a balanced attack on the offensive side of the court.  DC-G had four individuals in double figures each night.  Senior, Elizabeth Elfvin, put up 20 in the season opener at North Polk, and fellow Senior, Jordan Cunningham put up 21 the following night at home over Winterset.

Additionally, Kylie Merical and Julia Reis also tallied their scoring columns in double figures in the first two games for the Fillies.

DC-G will look to continue their winning ways tomorrow when they host Carlisle in Grimes.  Tomorrow night’s festivities will be the first Girl/Boy Doubleheader of the winter.  The girls will tip-off at 6:15pm, while the boys will take the court at 7:45pm.
