Greene County plays a basketball doubleheader in Ogden tonight to open the 2019-20 seasons, and the Rams send the wrestling team to Ogden tomorrow. Starting time is listed as 5:30 p.m. Tuesday as second year head coach Zach Beekman’s Rams square off against Ogden, Van Meter/Earlham, and PCM (Monroe).

Nine wrestlers from the 2018-19 season who won more matches than they lost return. That list is headed by junior Brady Stauffer (29-11), senior Will Hansen (23-11), sophomore Brenner Gallagher (19-6), and junior Sawyer Schiltz (19-12). Also, senior Garrett Tasler did not wrestle last season, but was 19-10 two seasons ago.

Another name to know is McKinley Robbins at 106 lbs. He begins his high school career with a 2019 AAU State title to his name. He won the Level C (7th-8th grade) 100 lbs. division last winter.
