Downtown Guthrie Center was filled with families Saturday as the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Guthrie Center organizations hosted their annual Reindeer Express event Saturday.

Visitors were encouraged to find at least six lurking reindeer at area businesses to stamp on their reindeer card and enter to win kid and adult prizes. Free crafts and cookie decorating were also offered at the Guthrie County Extension office and Cabbage Rose restaurant. Back in town for the first time in a couple years were some live reindeer outside the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library, where inside kids got to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, and vote for their favorite in the Festival of Trees.
