A Linden woman was given a suspended sentence for a drug offense in Guthrie County.

Court documents show that 29-year-old Desiray Michelle Elliott pled guilty to a count of conspiring to manufacture, deliver, and/or possess with intent to deliver marijuana, and operating while intoxicated third offense, both class D felonies. Elliott was given suspended five-year prison sentences for each offense. She must also serve 30 days in the Guthrie County Jail for the OWI, with credit for time already served, and pay over $8,000 in fines, restitution, court costs, and surcharges. Elliott’s also ordered to reside at the Fresh Start Residential Treatment Facility until maximum benefits are received. All other counts were dismissed in connection with this case, and these sentences are to be served consecutively to those for cases in Audubon County.

These charges stemmed from an August 29th incident in Bagley when a Sheriff’s Deputy performed a traffic stop on Elliott and her significant other, 60-year-old Dennis Carroll Glenn of Redfield. Probable cause was found to search their vehicle where a baggy containing marijuana, two meth pipes with residue, and several other drug-related items were found.
