The Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ Basketball team is 5-3 on the year, and roughly a third of the way through the regular season schedule.  DC-G has been without one of their scoring leaders, Elizabeth Elfvin, since the third game of the year.

Elfvin was averaging just a shade under 11 points per game, along with almost 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, but hasn’t played since the Fillies took down Carlisle in early December.

In her absence, Senior Jordan Cunningham, along with Junior Julia Reis have stepped up their game to carry more weight of the DC-G Girls’ team.  Cunningham is posting 20 points per game, hauling in over 8 boards, and has snagged 33 total steals, so far, this season.

Reis is putting up just under 9 points per game, and garnering 5 rebounds per game, as well.

Freshman, Emma Miner has given the Fillies positive production this year in her first year at the Varsity level.  Miner has added 7 points per game, along with 4 rebounds.

The DC-G Girls’ will be back on the court next Friday, January 3 when the Fillies welcome Boone to Grimes.
