Tuesday night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ and Girls’ hosted Indianola in a Little Hawkeye Conference match-up.  The night saw both the Mustangs and Fillies come up short against the only 4A school in the conference.

The DC-G Girls’ game was just a one-point spread after 3 quarters of play, but the Fillies couldn’t overcome the deficit and fell 47-41 to Indianola.  The DC-G Girls’ fall to 6-4 on the season.

On the Boys’ side, the Mustangs dropped their first game of the season, 65-53 to Indianola at home.  Head Coach, Joel Rankin knew that his team would be tested defensively facing the Indians high powered offense.  DC-G lead by 4 after the first quarter, and trailed by just one point at half, but the second half was all Indianola.

The DC-G Boys’ swallow their first defeat of the year, and move on with a 7-1 record.

The next DC-G Boy/Girl Doubleheader is scheduled for Friday night at Pella Christian.
