The Perry School Board will convene Monday night in regular session.

The evening will start with a special meeting at 5:15 p.m., during which the Board will have a closed session to evaluate the professional competency of a staff member. They will then reconvene for the regular meeting at 6 p.m., which will begin with consideration of a funding request from the Junior Class Prom Committee. Following that, the Board will consider approval of a bid for a new school bus, as well as the District calendar for the 2020-21 school year. Next, they will have discussion and possible action on allowing the high school athletics department to explore options for leaving the Raccoon River Conference.

Other items on the agenda include: an out-of-state field trip for the AP high school history class to see “Hamilton” in St. Louis; an application to the School Budget Review Committee for administrative costs at the Woodward Day School and Grandwood Consortium; the modified allowable growth and drop out prevention application; revisions to Board policies; and early graduation requests. Finally, the Board will consider approving the hires and resignations, as well as several early retirement requests. Among the retirement requests are Activities Director Tom Lipovac, Building and Grounds Director Kevin McLaughlin, and Nutrition Director Gail McFarlin. The meetings will both be held in the high school’s Brady Library.
