Wednesday morning commute has been impacted by slick road conditions.

An overnight freezing drizzle caused roads to become slick Wednesday morning. According to Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams, roads in Greene County continue to be 100-percent ice covered. He urges motorists to drive slow and not use cruise control while traveling this morning. Williams adds, as of 7am there have been no reports of vehicles in ditches. Greene County Engineer Wade Weiss reports secondary road crews have been out since 4:30am. Crews will continue to be out re-treating the roads, due to them refreezing. Jefferson Public Works Director Dave Morlan tells Raccoon Valley Radio city road crews have been out since 4:30am. The icy roadways have also caused a two-hour delay start for Greene County and Paton-Churdan school districts.

The one to count on for winter weather road condition updates and cancellation and delay information is the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
