Motorists in Guthrie County are advised to stay off the roads today as most roads are completely covered in snow.

The Panora Fire Department and Panora Emergency Medical Services have been called to respond to a vehicle that slid off the roadway at about 10:20 a.m. and is in the east ditch of County Road P28, or Wagon Road, one mile south of Panora. Possible entrapment has been reported according to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office. A winter weather advisory is in effect for Guthrie County until 6 p.m. tomorrow, as snow this afternoon is expected to turn into mixed precipitation overnight. Total snow accumulations of 2-4 inches and ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch are anticipated, with winds gusting as high as 45 miles per hour.
