When Greene County travels to Story City tomorrow night for Heart of Iowa Activities Conference dual meets vs. North Polk (Alleman) and Roland-Story, it could be a  history making night. Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams are 18-3 in dual meets, just one victory shy of the school record for most dual meet wins in a season set by the 2012-13 Rams. That was the very first Greene County High School team and they finished the season at 19-5. These are the last two conference duals of the season and the Rams are 4-1 in the HOAC with the lone loss to Gilbert. The other dual meet losses are to Van Meter/Earlham and Humboldt.

Greene County did not have a tournament scheduled last weekend and odds are it would have been weathered out anyway. After tomorrow night’s dual meets, the next event on the schedule for Greene County wrestling is the HOIAC tournament in Jewell hosted by South Hamilton on Friday, Jan. 24 starting at 5 p.m.
