Two Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School speech groups were nominated for the All-State Large Group Speech Festival Monday.

ACGC was nominated as non-performing in radio broadcasting for their entry titled “Grimm.” The group of Jacob Penton, Carter Hanson, Trever Derry, Eli Kading, and Wyatt Rudy earned straight Division I ratings at the state contest in Waukee last weekend. ACGC was also nominated as non-performing in musical theatre for their entry titled “Dear Baby.” The entry earned straight Division I ratings and featured Audrey Stowe, Kael Grasty, and Tommy Bates.

Panorama and West Central Valley also performed at the state contest. Five of Panorama’s eight entries received overall Division I ratings, and one of West Central Valley’s three improv groups received Division I as well.
