The 100+ People for Perry organization will hold their first donation meeting of the year Monday evening.

The event will be held at La Poste, with a social time at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starting at 7. Members of the group will present three randomly-selected projects for consideration, and those in attendance will vote on which to support. Each member then donates $100 to the chosen nonprofit organization. Organizers remind attendees to bring any project suggestions they may have so there will be plenty to choose from.

The goal of 100+ People for Perry is to invest in the City’s future and enhance the quality of life for residents. The group makes four donations a year to fund a project within the Perry community. To date, they have pledged around $110,000 to 16 projects, including the most recent donation to Raccoon River Pet Rescue. Anyone interested in joining the organization is encouraged to reach out to organizers Mark Powell at 515-465-4641 or mpowel@fdplawfirm.com, Tom Lipovac at Tom.Lipovac@perry.k12.ia.us, or Linda Kaufman at kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com. Any current members who can’t attend Monday’s meeting can drop off their check at the Finneseth, Dalen, and Powell Law Firm.
