A free training session will be in Jefferson to help people learn more about how to deal with traumatic situations.

The Central Iowa Community Services (CICS) mental health region is hosting a “Trauma 101 and Recovery” training class Tuesday, February 25th from 1-4pm at the Greene County Medical Center Education Classroom. Attendees will learn about trauma-informed care, how trauma affects individuals seeking services, how to create safe environments for individuals being served and practices to avoid re-traumatization.
