This month’s edition of the Perry Public Library’s Lifelong Learners Coffee will give the public an opportunity to hear success stories from local businesswomen.

Library Director Mary Murphy says the title for the program is “Leap of Faith: the Adventure of Entrepreneurship,” and it will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in the library’s large meeting room. Murphy says the conversation should be interesting, and focuses on the many women who are currently helping Perry’s business landscape to thrive. “We’re going to host several local businesswomen, entrepreneurs, and artists from Perry, and kind of get their background of how they came to be where they are today. We have many women that are in business for themself. Mary Rose Nichols (Owner of Mary Rose Collection) will be heading the lineup, and other people will be joining her. If you could think of a business that is headed by a woman, she is probably going to be there!”

The event is free, there is no registration required, and refreshments will be provided. There will also be Leap Year-themed activities and a drawing for a door prize. To learn more about this and other upcoming events, stop in or call the Perry Library at 515-465-3569.
