The first two and a half months of 2020 have been wild, but few would have expected this.

Covid-19, or better known as the Coronovirus, has literally halted the sports world.  It started with the NBA last week, after Utah Jazz Center, Rudy Gobert, tested positive.  That was the domino that started the mayhem in sports and competition.  Then came the MLB, then NCAA March Madness, NHL, NASCAR, and more.

Over the weekend, high school sports in Iowa was put on idle, then Sunday night Governor Kim Reynolds was requesting that school districts statewide shut down for, at least, four weeks.

So, for the time being, Dallas Center-Grimes student-athletes that compete in Track and Field, Soccer, or Golf must wait until restrictions have been lifted.

To hear the reaction from DC-G coaches and administration on the stoppage in both the academic and athletic year, tune in for the Dallas County PM Sports Page.  You can hear the show between 6:00-7:00pm on Monday on 99.7FM or AM1310 KDLS, or stream the broadcast online at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
