Severe weather might be a possibility in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to the National Weather Service, all of Dallas and Guthrie counties, and the southern ⅔ of Greene County are under an enhanced risk for severe weather beginning tonight through tomorrow. An enhanced risk means all modes of severe weather are possible including damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, moderate to heavy rainfall and river flooding.

The National Weather Service is estimating 1-1.5 inches of additional rainfall tonight through tomorrow. Rainfall totals reported by the National Weather Service from earlier today include just over one inch of rain in Jefferson, and just under one inch of rainfall in Guthrie Center and Perry. Wind gusts of over 50-miles-per-hour may occur tomorrow.

The one to count on for severe weather coverage is the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
