Two more Iowans have died due to complications from novel coronavirus 2019, and 52 new cases across the state were reported Wednesday.

The number of deaths in Iowa to COVID-19 is now up to nine, with the most recent individuals in Polk and Washington counties, and both were over 81-years-old. Of the 52 new cases, two are Dallas County residents – one between age 18-40 and the other age 61-80 – bringing the County’s total to 27. Statewide there have been 549 positive tests and 7,304 negative tests. Of the coronavirus patients in Iowa, the majority are between age 41-80, with 362 total cases between that age range.
