Rev. Julie Higgs, board chair of GSFP has said that anyone with Redfield, Dexter, or Linden address can now use the food pantry in Adel.  Currently, the pantry serves families in Adel, Minburn, DeSoto, and Van Meter.

In a statement, Higgs said, “All you need to bring to the pantry to register is a current ID and a piece of mail that has your name at your current address.”  Higgs added, “You also will need to know the birth dates of all persons in your household, but you do not need proof of those, just a list.”

The pantry provides a week-long supply of food once per month for non-perishable items.  However, the pantry allows perishable items to families in need on a weekly basis.

Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Adel is currently open from 12-2pm and 5-7pm on Monday; 12-2pm on Tuesday.  Location of the pantry is the former ADM Middle School in Adel, at 211 N 11th Street.
