In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Adel Parks and Recreation Department has made some changes to the availability of their public parks.

Effective immediately, the use of all City of Adel playground equipment and shelter houses is prohibited until further notice. Additionally, all park restrooms remain closed and water fountains have been turned off. The public will still be able to access the rest of the parks as well as the trail system around the City. The Dog Park and tennis and basketball courts will also remain open, though pickup games and contact play are prohibited. Signage will be posted at each of the parks regarding what is and isn’t accessible at this time.
