The West Central Valley Wildcats are going to have a tough schedule in the 2020 fall football year, as they will have to take on numerous state qualifiers during the 2019 year, and play an opponent who made it to the dome for the state finals as well.

The non-conference portion of their schedule will give them the opportunity to catch up to speed with Nodaway Valley going 3-6 last year, Eagle Grove going 0-9, Madrid 1-8, and Saydel 0-9. Putting these teams on the schedule will give the Wildcats some games against some easier competition before they hit into the tough portion of their schedule in their 1A district. Kuemper Catholic and Woodward Granger are new members of the Wildcats district for the 2020 year, which will join Panorama, ACGC, and Van Meter. Kuemper Catholic had a 3-6 during the year last year, but Panorama, ACGC, Van Meter, and Woodward Granger also posting winning records.

Panorama and Van Meter made the state playoffs, with Van Meter making it all the way to the state championship game.

It’s a well put together schedule for the Wildcats, as it’s a good blend of tough test but also some winnable games as well during the early portion of their season.
