The Iowa Department of Public Health reported Friday that two more Dallas County residents have died as a result of complications of COVID-19.

The casualties bring the death toll in Dallas to 14, and were part of 20 new deaths statewide to bring the total in Iowa to 424. Additionally, there were 15 newly reported positive tests for coronavirus in Dallas County as of Friday, with the countywide total now at 824. Of those cases, 500 patients have reportedly recovered. In the state, there were 480 newly reported positive tests for a total of 16,435, with 8,917 recovered. There were no new cases or deaths reported Friday in Adair, Greene, or Guthrie counties.
