ped-food-pantry-donation

Perry Economic Development (PED) recently took it upon themselves to support those in financial distress during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On May 14th, the group unanimously voted to make a $1,000 donation to the Perry Area Food Pantry, and the check was delivered earlier this week. PED Board President Tom Burkgren said the organization hopes their donation will make a difference for the people in the area faced with food insecurity as a result of the economic impact of the viral outbreak. Burkgren presented the check to Pantry Site Manager Lou Hoger, who expressed his appreciation for the generosity shown by PED. Hoger also emphasized that the community’s support during the pandemic has been outstanding, but the need to keep their shelves full is still prevalent.

PED acts as a catalyst organization for the City of Perry that supports and facilitates the sustainable growth and development of the community.
