Jason Sheldahl

A domestic incident in Scranton resulted in a pair of arrests Friday night.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a call from a witness of a domestic situation in the 900 block of Main Street at 8:14pm. Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio during the investigation, the deputy found out a verbal argument escalated into a physical incident between 49-year-old Jason Sheldahl and 45-year-old Tanisha Rice, both of Scranton.

Williams says both individuals had a no contact order in place due to a prior domestic incident between the two and both were living in the same residence at the time of Friday’s physical altercation. Rice suffered bruising on her body and refused to cooperate with the investigation, while Sheldahl had a non-life threatening laceration on his neck.

They were each charged with a simple misdemeanor for violation of a no contact order.

Both were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail. Sheldahl is being held under a $6,000 cash only bond and Rice was released under her own recognizance. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
