The Greene County High School softball and baseball teams officially started practice yesterday for the shortened 2020 seasons. Tom Kennedy returns as head softball coach and Matt Paulsen begins his first season heading the baseball program. Both programs were well below the .500 mark in 2019 with softball in sixth and baseball finishing in fifth place in the league. The schedule for the Rams this summer has been reduced to a 14 game season, all in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference,

KGRA 98.9 FM has a 10-game broadcast schedule planned with five softball and five baseball broadcasts. Greene County is set to open the 2020 seasons in Des Moines at Saydel High School on June 15. KG98 is planning on bringing you varsity baseball that night for Coach Paulsen’s head coaching debut around 7:30 p.m. We’ll also be streaming on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
