Night in and night out one of the most competitive conferences in the entire state of Iowa is the Raccoon River Conference, and it is expected to be status quo for the softball season as well. In the preseason 4A poll that was released this last week for softball, Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger softball was ranked 5th in the preseason poll.

Reaching that mark is going to be with big expectations, but the conference is expected to be one of the best in the entire state. 2019 State Champion Carlisle was ranked first in the preseason poll, and will be returning a huge portion of their team in hopes of making a similar run on the season. The Bombers of Ballard were ranked 3rd in the preseason poll as well, and the Huskies of Winterset were also on that listed as they were ranked 13th as well.

Carroll, Bondurant, Perry, and Boone also are expected to field good teams as well to round out a tough conference.

ADM will be taking on all of these teams throughout certain moments in the conference season, facing Ballard on June 15th and July 6th, Carlisle on June 18th, and Winterset on June 29th.

It should be an exciting softball season, and one of the main reasons will be the competitive nature of the Raccoon River Conference.
