For just the second time in six games, the Greene County High School baseball team will be playing at home. First year head coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams host Nevada tonight at Allensworth Field in Jefferson in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The Rams are 0-5 overall and in the conference, while the Cubs are 2-5 on the season.

Both have struggled at the plate with the Cubs batting .230 as a team and the Rams are just over the .200 mark. Extra base hits have also been as issue with only two in five games for Greene County and only four in seven games for Nevada. The Cubs have been the more solid team in the field with just 10 errors charged to them, but the Nevada pitching staff is allowing seven walks per contest. The Rams have allowed more unearned runs, but have walked fewer batters.

The action can be heard tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage after 7 p.m. and game time set for 7:30 p.m.
