adm-7

The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team is looking to get some revenge on an opening night loss when they travel to Huxley to take on the Ballard Bombers. ADM lost the first game of the season by the score of 14-2. It was the biggest loss of the season for the Tigers from a margin standpoint, but have rebounded nicely with an 8-3 mark and one of the top teams in the Raccoon River Conference. Their other teams losses of the year have been both by one run, including a tough one last Thursday against Indianola.

Ballard has been as good as advertised so far with a 9-2 record and a 5-1 mark in RCC play. They have won seven straight games this year, and continue to score 8.9 runs per game while only giving 3.5. ADM does have more experience in close games, and does have a good differential as well averaging 5.7 runs while giving up 4.7. This game will be big in determining who will be a conference champion this year, as it will position either team into the drivers seat.

Tonight’s game will get rolling around 7:30, as ADM hopes to pull off the victory to continue what has been so far a great season.
