Third time was not the charm for the AC/GC baseball team Wednesday night.

The AC/GC baseball team made the trip to Granger to take on Woodward Granger in the District 14 semi-finals. This is the third time the Chargers have gotten a look at Woodward Granger this season, the only team they’ve played more than once. The Hawks set the tone early that they were not overlooking AC/GC by getting four runs across in the first inning. Woodward Granger kept their foot on the gas pedal throughout the next few innings scoring one run in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and three more in the fifth. The Hawks were also dominant on the mound only giving up one run to AC/GC all night. The Chargers were quiet at the dish all night, with their only hit coming from a Tegan Slaybaugh single.

The 11-1 loss officially concluded the abbreviated baseball season for AC/GC as they finished the year with a 6-14 record, earning one more win than last season and played in eight fewer games. The only senior the Charger baseball team is losing is Bryce Littler who finished the season as the teams leading batter with 20 hits, a .357 batting average, 13 runs batted in, and six doubles.
