The summer of 2020 has been a tough one for the Perry baseball team.  Following a two win regular season and on the heels of the resignation of their head coach, Perry will look to try and put the distractions on the back burner tonight as the Bluejays travel to Slater for an opening round 3A district battle with Ballard.  The Bombers defeated Perry soundly earlier this season but anything can happen in the postseason.  The Bluejays are expected to turn to Avery Meister to make the start.  The senior right hander has quietly enjoyed a solid season and is coming off a shutout victory over West Central Stuart in his last start.  Perry head coach Aaron Lyons announced earlier in the week that he will be vacating all of his coaching duties at Perry High School beginning in the fall.  You can listen to Bluejay baseball tonight at 7:00 on KDLS.
