Jeffrey Snedden of Adel was traveling north on N Ave., attempting to turn left onto 315th Ct., when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Antonia Schlapia of Adel. Schlapia swerved into the south bound lanes to avoid hitting Snedden. Brian Weidenthaler of Panora was going south on N Ave. and tried to avoid hitting Schlapia and went into the ditch striking a culvert. Driver’s were checked by EMS and cleared. Damage to Schlapia’s vehicle estimated at $2000.00, $1000.00 to Snedden’s and $2000.00 to Weidenthaler’s. Schlapia was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

Michael Paul Parson, age 41 of 921 30th St., Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of theft.
