The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers are continuing to get prepared for the 2020 state baseball tournament when they take on the Tigers of Gilbert tomorrow night at Principal Park in Des Moines.

One of the major keys to success for the Tigers during this postseason has been their lack of errors and mistakes during a game. ADM coming into the postseason had 47 errors through 16 games, or just a shade under three errors per game. This postseason has been different for the Tigers, through three games they have been able to put together solid fielding around great starting pitching. The team has only had one error all postseason long through their three games so far, which has helped them get out of innings quicker.

The Tigers have also done a great job of not chasing pitches out of the strike zone, and being patient at the plate to find the pitch that they can drive into the outfield. In the pitching department, pitchers have been able to hit their spots and work quickly for short innings so that the Tigers can go back into the dugout.

They will be playing a Gilbert team that does not beat themselves easily, with 38 errors through 24 games, so just above 1.5 per game. They also are very patient at the plate and will be selective in their at bats.
