Greene County remained the same on Monday with 37 cases, 29 recoveries, and zero deaths. With new cases added practically everyday, Dallas County Public Health Public Information Officer Ann Cochran recommends continuing to wear a mask when out in public, “I do recommend people to wear masks. It has become evident this summer that heat does not kill off the Coronavirus. It can be transmitted in warm weather also. I would suggest doing your errands during the cooler parts of the day and go ahead and wear the masks when you’re in public areas.”

Statewide, there were 376 new cases Monday for a total of 42,555, with 29,839 recoveries and 833 deaths. Of the 456,518 people that have been tested, 412,289 were negative.
