7-28-20 Donald Sloss, 70, of Linden was driving east on 240th Street at J Ave when he slowed to make a turn and was struck by Vincent Jahnke, 27, of Perry, who was also traveling east on 240th street. Both drivers were transported to Methodist hospital in West Des Moines with injuries. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed as of this date. Damage to Mr. Sloss vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Damage to Mr. Jahnke vehicle estimated at $5,000.
7-29-2020 Hector Rios Cardona, 26, 1723 Pine Street, Perry was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear. The original charge was Operate Vehicle Without Owners Consent and Driving While Barred.
7-29-2020 Shane Davis, 43, of Adel was arrested for Driving While Barred.
On 7-29-2020 Brian Cassady, 28, Redfield struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Pablo Martinez Fabian, 39, of Perry in the 21000 block of Old Highway 6. Mr. Fabian’s vehicle sustained approximately $400 damage and Mr. Cassady’s vehicle sustained approximately $7500 damage. There were no injuries. Mr. Fabian was cited for No Driver’s License and Mr. Cassady was cited for Failure to Stop in Assured Clear Distance.
