The West Central Valley Wildcat softball team will see one of their opponents in the state softball final today in the Ogden Bulldogs, who were able to defeat Louisa-Muscatine by the score of 4-2. They will take on North Linn in the state championship game today.

These two teams played each other back on June 16th, with the Wildcats falling to the Bulldogs by the score of 12-0. The Bulldogs would run rule WCV in that game powered by a ten run third inning. West Central Valley in that game was coming off a night opening night win against Panorama, but couldn’t keep up with one of the states best.

The Wildcats also only got one hit in the game taking on one of the states best pitcher’s in Denali Loecker, who is a University of Iowa commit for softball. It was a great experience for a very young Wildcat team, despite the loss.

The Bulldogs of Ogden will be looking to bring home a state championship and have prepared by playing some of the best teams out of the West Central Activities Conference.
