Following a nail-biting, 1-0 win on Tuesday evening, Byron Peyton’s Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs Baseball team has had the past two days to prepare for their Class 3A State Tournament Semifinal opponent, the Tigers of Gilbert.

Gilbert took down ADM in the Quarterfinals round on Tuesday night, 4-0, on an excellent start from Gilbert’s man of the mound.

Offense was hard to come by in the DC-G win over Benton, as the Mustangs squeaked out a 1-0 win, behind a dominant pitching performance from Senior, Logan Smith.
