On Thursday night, Dallas Center-Grimes brought home the 3rd place trophy from the State Softball Tournament in Fort Dodge following the Fillies 8-4 win over North Scott in the 3rd/4th place Consolation game.

Although the dreams and hopes of a State Championship didn’t fully come to fruition, DC-G had much to smile about on a great season for Steve Schlafke’s program.  The Hall of Fame coach put together another great team, lead by experience and veteran, Senior leadership.

DC-G also had some of their star players bring home individual hardware and accolades.  Kamryn O’Brien and Mollie Cooney were each named to the Class 4A All-Tournament Team.
