The Dallas County Secondary Roads Department remains hard at work this summer.

At the recent Dallas County Board of Supervisors meeting County Engineer Al Miller gave an update on the progress of their projects to this point in the summer. As of Tuesday, crews reshaped or resurfaced 46 miles of county roads, completed 4.5 miles of ditch work, added 19.5 miles of shoulder rock, and replaced 31 culverts. One of the projects that features more than a week-long closure is just north of County Road R-30 and S Avenue as Dallas County Conservation is working on a trail crossing. The closure is underway and is expected to run through next Wednesday.
