Those wanting to help in the fight against cancer are reminded of a Guthrie County Relay for Life event happening tomorrow.

The Angels Fore Life relay team is hosting their annual four-person best shot golf tournament with registration at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at the Guthrie Center Golf Course. Cost is $50 per person, and those without a team can still sign up as the organizers typically group up individuals before the tournament starts. Players will get to enjoy a cart, 18 holes of golf, games at each hole, prizes, and lunch.

Proceeds will go toward the American Cancer Society, which team member Kim Durst says is especially needed as the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down their fundraising efforts this year. Face masks are also encouraged for the event, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Participants are also advised to share golf carts only with those in the same household to limit possible exposure of the virus to others.
