A local church is helping alleviate the burden some families bare with back to school around the corner.

The Adel First Chrisitan Church is holding their annual clothing drive today. The event will take place today from 9 a.m. until noon. Families can take advantage of this event to help with the costs of clothing prior to the school year. The one difference this year is it will be held in the parking lot to allow for social distancing and person safety against COVID-19. Those who attend are asked to wear a face covering and social distance when possible. The event is open to anyone from central Iowa, not just Adel, and there are no questions asked.  Anyone who is interested in making a donation is encouraged to reach out to the Adel First Christan Church at (515) 993-4514.
