Adair County reported it’s first COVID-19 related death as Dallas County surpassed 2,000 positive cases.

Adair County Public Health reported their first death from COVID-19 Wednesday. The individual was between 41-60-years-old. According to the Guthrie and Adair County dashboard as of Wednesday, Guthrie County had 10 new positive cases since Friday increasing their total to 150, with 108 recoveries and five deaths. Guthrie County is also reporting a 8% 14-day positive average. Adair County has 40 positive cases, with 20 recoveries, and one death. Adair County is reporting a 7.1% 14-day positive average. According to the state dashboard Wednesday, Dallas County added 65 new cases, increasing their total to 2,014. They also have 1,596 individuals that have recovered and 35 deaths. Dallas County is at 6.9% 14-day positive average. Greene County added one new case since Friday bringing their total to 43 positive cases, 38 recoveries, and zero deaths. Greene County is at 2.4% 14-day positive average

Statewide, there are a total of 53,280 cases, with 41,812 recoveries and 1,005 deaths. Of the 571,201 people that have been tested, 509,035 were negative.

Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 97 hospitalized patients, with 23 in Intensive Care Units, and 12 admitted in the last 24 hours.
