adm-7

The ADM Tiger volleyball team held their first matches of the season in Adel, and put up a respectable showing for a young squad with the team going 1-2 on the day.

In the first match, ADM would take down Algona two sets to one (21-16, 20-22, 15-7), in a thriller three set match to start the season. Junior Campbell James would lead the team in kills in the match with six and digs as well with nine.

In the second match, ADM fought hard against a good Harlan team but unfortunately came up a little bit short losing two sets to one (21-19, 8-21, 7-15). ADM as a team only had nine kills in the match but did a good job defensively of finding ways to win the first set. In the third match, the Tigers ran out of steam and fell to Newton two sets to none (9-21, 13-21).

Tiger volleyball will have a big week next week, when they open Raccoon River Conference play on Tuesday against the Ballard Bombers.
